Cut Dewi works in the area of architectural and urban heritage studies. She finished her bachelor at Department of Architecture, Syiah Kuala University, did her master at Groningen University, the Netherlands in the field Environmental and Infrastructure Planning and SAPPK, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). In 2015, she finished her PhD at the Australian National University with the thesis Iconic Architectural Heritage in Banda Aceh: Remembering and Conservation in post-disasyter contexts. She is a member of Association for Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS). She is a reviewer of International Journal of Heritage Studies (Routledge) and some international and national conferences and an editor of Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa (JIM) Department of Architecture and Planning. She has taught architecture at Syiah Kuala University since 2002 until now.

Arfiansyah is currently a Ph.D. student in Anthropology of Islamic Law at Leiden Institute for Area Studies of Leiden University, Netherland, and expected to submit his research on the Islamic Triangle: The Relationship of Adat, Sharia Law, and Civil Law. He obtained his M.A from McGill University in 2010. His publication includes Syariat Islam, Politik, dan Perempuan di Aceh published by UIN Ar-Raniry, 2013 and Politicization of Sharia law: Behind the Implementation of Sharia Law in Aceh, Article journal published by Media Sharia in 2011.

Senior Program Assistant

Ibnu Mundzir obtained his MA in Community Psychology and Social Change from Pennsylvania State University (2011) with a full scholarship from Fulbright Tsunami Initiative Program. He completed a bachelor degree in psychology at Universitas Indonesia (2004). His research interest includes disaster management, particularly on disaster risks reduction, post-disaster/conflict mental health, post-disaster social changes, and program evaluation. Mundzir teaches Disaster Management and Peace Psychology in psychology undergraduate program in Aceh. He has been working on post-conflict psychosocial support, disaster emergency response, disaster risks reduction, and HIV/AIDS programs with various national and international organizations in Aceh, North Moluccas, Poso, and Jakarta. Since 2014, he has been the research manager of the Aftermath of Aid, an Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) and ICAIOS research collaboration assessing the effectiveness and sustainability of post-tsunami rehabilitation and reconstruction in five different sectors: demographic, disaster risks reduction, governance and civil society, housing, and livelihood.

Maida Irawani (Era) obtained her M.Ed in Education Leadership, Policy and Change from Monash University, Australia (2009) with full scholarship from Australian Development Scholarship (ADS). She has experienced working with International NGOs and UN on development program. Since 2013, she has been involved in a research project on Female Education Leadership Project, a collaboration research between ICAIOS and University of Amsterdam and in 2016 on Female livelihood Post-Tsunami under Aftermath of Aid (AOA) research project. She is currently managing a research project “ Aceh Geohazard Project (AGP) which combines geology, geomorphology, history and archaeology to better understand the past occurrence of tsunami in Aceh, and the impact on past societies.

Asrul Sidiq edit

Asrul Sidiq holds an M.Sc in Regional and Rural Development Planning from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (2013). He completed a bachelor degree in Regional and City Planning at Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung (2010). His research interests are in regional and rural development planning, community development, economic geography, and disaster management. Asrul has some working experiences with the government organizations such as Aceh Public Works Department (Dinas Cipta Karya) and Aceh Development Planning Agency (Bappeda).

Pratitou Arafat holds a Master of Landscape Architecture, from Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne, Australia in 2015. He completed her bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture at Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Bogor in 2010. His research interests are city management including city landscape planning, area management, and urban heritage. Titou has some national and international working experiences with non-government institutions and some experiences in entrepreneurship such Mandiri jaya Flora Nursery (Bogor), Old Westbury Garden, Old Westbury, New York, US, and Designer and owner of Local brand souvenir "Temurui clothing line" Aceh.

Adri graduated from Mathematics Department, Mathematics and Science Faculty (FMIPA), Syiah Kuala University at 2016 and obtained his Bachelor degree. His research interest are in Applied Mathematics, Numerical Method, and Numerical Model. Adri joined ICAIOS "Internasional of Aceh and Indian Ocean Studies" at May 2016 as IT Guy.

Evi started his profession as a librarian as a volunteer in the library IAIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, with a focus on users service and circulation. Ever as a school librarian at senior hight school in Aceh Besar for a year, focusing on the processing and cataloging. She had joined with orphans in Aceh Besar supported by the Muslim-AID Malaysia in developing the library for boarding school. In 2009, Evi joined ARTI (Aceh research training Institute) as a librarian in charge of documentation at the library. In 2010 Evi joined ICAIOS as well as librarians.
