About PDS:
Knowledge sharing has been one of essentials sources for organization to enhance competitive advantage. However, in order to gain the most benefits of it, knowledge should be available to all individuals. Individual’s behavior in terms of knowledge sharing becomes the key to ensure that knowledge spread effectively in an organization.
Yet, individual’s goal orientations such as learning and performing orientations have been found as factors that either trigger or hinder the intention of an individual to provide or collect knowledge from others. This literature review study is done to discuss to what extent goal orientations affect knowledge sharing behavior based on social exchange theory that consider costs and benefits in providing and collecting knowledge.
